when i look at windoews task manager I have NO id or user !!!! ??

When I look in task manager, Users Tab I have nothing !!! I thought I should have my ID ???

in task manager? do you mean control panel? how do you get to this "task manager"

I am worried things on my desk top have been messed with, my task bar is old style not the windows XP version & I cant change it back,

right click on the task bar and go to the start menu tab...you should be able to go back to xp theme from there....

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
