Medium error - SCSI BIOS not installed

hi there, when booting up i get this message - Medium error - SCSI BIOS not installed

the computer then loads up fairly normally except it is unacle to read the cd drive and says: the instruction at "0x00000010" referenced memory at "0x00000010"

the memory could not be "read"

also when looking at control panel / system / device manager it says "temporary directory is not found or there is not enough disk space"

have gone through the processes mentioned in start here post except

am unable to update ad-aware SE
it says error connecting to server..
