I updated my detection rules in Spybot Search&Destroy 1.4 today (7/26/05) and ran the scan, which came up with the following:

Both were under "Security Risks" and classified as "2 entries, registry change"

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify!=dword:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify!=dword:0

Is it safe to delete/fix these?

I thought I'd mention: a few months ago, I used to get about 5 security risks every time (all were "registry change") I ran the scan despite my clicking the fix/delete button each time. After updating the detection rules, these threats no longer showed up.

I have sp2 installed and do not show anything for security center in the path specified. I would say that it appears to be safe to remove. you could always set a restore point before doing this or just back up those reg entries to be safe.
