shogun total war if you like being in charge, it is very cheap now because of the later versions but it is still the best learning platform I feel for testing out ones ideas as a general, your parents would aprove because it has no gore.

no idea but I know that the retail shop sells the copy of Shogun total war plus upgrade for peanuts, almost giving up away to clear stock it seems, no the problem is not price, it is finding it now.

I personally never cared for RTW.

I'm into online playing. I don't even play the games I have in single player mode just multiplayer. That's where it's at. Nothing like playing against human players (totally unpredictable).

My games include..

Soldier of Fortune 2 Gold
All versions of EA Games MOH...Spearhead...Breakthrough
Quake 3 arena
Many others but older.

The others are right about the original Doom series but I believe you would have a hard time finding that one.(maybe not)

As for older games the original Wolfenstein 3D was great too.

Doom 3 is not my cup of tea (Played the demo).

Waiting for Demo of Quake 4 to come out. I think the end of this year will be released.

Just my 2 cents worth.........
