My platform is Windows ME, it had the trojan-spy.html.smitraud.c blue splash screen error and locks up the system in Normal AND even in Safe mode.

I was finally able to run RunThis in Safe Mode (I was able to do 1 application then after running RunThis, the computer locks up and I can't do anything else. Ctrl-Alt-Delete shows that Explorer isn't responding). It looked like it cleaned a lot of things and deleted a bunch of temp files. I rebooted to Normal mode, but the system is still locked up (I can only shutdown/reboot by holding down the power button - hard shutdown basically). I also don't see any icons, only the Start/Taskbar and Quick Launch toolbars. But, again, I can't run any programs. It just has an hourglass with an arrow the whole time.

After running RunThis, it says that my wininet.dll is infected and I need to use a virus program to clean it up, but since I can't access any programs since the computer locks up, I can't clean it.

Is there a virus program, malware removal program I can run on a floppy or a CD? :tazz:

Looking forward to the help!!
