It seems from other threads people are having the same problem as me. Has anyone fixed theirs yet? This morning when I turned on my computer for the 2nd time I had a message saying that some registry changes had to be reverted back to a previous time point. I can log in but just get the blue screen like every one else. From the task bar it is not possible to run windows explorer.exe it just disappears.

Fortunately have old laptop that I can use but i can't access one file that I need for my PhD which needs to be in by Friday!

Thanks for any help

I have gone into command prompt to run sfc.exe as suggested in another string and get the error code0x000006ba.

I haven't got the boot disk at work to see if I can get it to repair.
