Yesterday I had several pop-ups on my screen that said that I have major problems with my computer & kept asking me to install something called WinFixer 2005. I said yes to this one & it told me my computer was basically trashed & did I want to repair. I haven't clicked yes yet because I'm scared that WinFixer 2005 could be bad. The only reason I have trusted it was because normally when I get pop-ups at the top it it usually is sent by some "Aurora" or something & this particular one was different?

Anyways, anyone know anything about WinFixer 2005. Is it okay to use this to clean up my computer or is it bad?

Thank you

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Ok. Thank you. I finished doing what you suggested that I did in the Malware forum. I also tried to download the Highjackthis & when I did that I got a virus? So everytime a ran one of the programs that I download from the Malware Program during the run process I would get a virus that would say:

Infected File Name: c:\unzipped\hijackthis[1]\HijackThis.exe\HIJACKTHIS.EXE
Virus Name: W32/Generic.worm!p2p

or

Infected File Name: c:\windows\system32\dvyeck.exe
with same virus name

When asked to clean or delete it wouldn't let me. I had to exclude. It would say "could not be deleted check access rights"

Also everytime I boot up the ewido security suite pops up with File:nail.exe Path:c:\windows Infect: Adware.BetterInternet

How can I fix all of that?

Thank you
