Hi Geeks please please help me ....

A number of things dont seem to be right with my desk top, my start up, and even my windows task manager..................

Desktop colour is not the normal XP standard one, the taskbar is grey not the green start button & blue taskbar ????

Buttons on my mouse (Laptop Dell Inspiron 510m) seemed to have changed ......

My Windows Task Manager has no details of my user or my ID ( I was sure it has done in the past)

I have had recent problems with connection to internet plus opening programs, but this seems to have stopped................

HELP ;) :)

I have also connected to my office via Remote Desktop & it too now seems to be doing starnge things with the mouse keys , still has the right colours...........

I am not great at this virus / computing game !!! but roughly know how to get round things, tried the malware link & all the stuff on there but really not I have got rid of or fixed what is going on with computer,

Someone please help trying to get photos sent of my new born baby to family around the world but dont want to send them all a bug !!!!!

Many many thanks in advance

Tricky............... :tazz:

Hello and welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz: I'm kool808 and I will be helping you today.

We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool [ HiJackThis ], read the short tutorial [ HERE ]

Then post the results of the scan here.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! I will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

In the event you cannot download it then you have to use another computer then transfer it to your PC.  If you are not able to run it through desktop or C:\HJT then you have to use the Task Manager, available through CTRL+ALT+DELETE then choose New Task.
