I followed the directions (that I should have before I posted...sorry) and some issues are still present.
first the desktop hijacker is gone (pcgaurd.com)
when I went to update adware se it would not let me.
it would not let me update spybot it said "!!!bad checksum!"
I still have norton advising me there is a virus on my computer and it cannot delete it.
object name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wininet.dll
virus name: Bloodhound.W32.EP
Action taken: Unable to repair this file

Also my windows security keeps blinking I have an update, i try to install it, but after I reboot it still says I need to update.

here is the log from hijack this:

Once again thank you for any help and any advise on how to prevent this from further occurring would be great.

Am I supposed to have a bunch of items starting now with the startup from the downloads I did? I have a ton of icons now

Step 1

Configure Windows to Show all hidden files & folders and ensure you're familiar with rebooting into Safe Mode.

Download SmitRem.zip and save the file to your desktop.
Right click on the file and extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

Place a shortcut to Panda ActiveScan on your desktop.

Download and install the trial version of Ewido Security Suite from here.
Configure the program correctly by following the instructions here and then close the program after updating the reference files.
Do NOT run a scan yet.

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, follow the download and setup instructions here.
Otherwise, check for updates and download any new reference files before closing the program. We'll use it in Safe Mode later.

Step 2

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode - Very Important !!

Run HJT again and checkmark the boxes next to the following:-

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [intell32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\intell32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PSGuard spyware remover] C:\Program Files\PSGuard\PSGuard.exe
O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {4CF783FD-2C9E-410C-97D9-D164DF19AACE} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {4CF783FD-2C9E-410C-97D9-D164DF19AACE} - (no file) (HKCU)
O16 - DPF: {288C5F13-7E52-4ADA-A32E-F5BF9D125F99} (CR64Loader Object) - http://www.miniclip....pGameLoader.dll
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.r...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Close ALL OPEN WINDOWS/BROWSERS and click Fix Checked

Then navigate to and delete these files\folders in BOLD

C:\WINDOWS\system32\intell32.exe

Step 3

Open the SmitRem folder and double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

Step 4

Open Ad-aware and do a full system scan. Remove all it finds.

Step 5

Now open Ewido Security Suite:

Click on Scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK
When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK.
Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report.
Click Save report.
Save the report .txt file to your desktop.

Now close ewido security suite.

Warning: While the scan is in progress, do NOT open any folders or the Windows Control Panel !!

Step 6

Next go to your Control Panel and click Display | Desktop | Customise Desktop | Website | Uncheck "Security Info" if present.

Reboot back into Windows and click the Panda ActiveScan shortcut, and do a full system scan.
Make sure the autoclean box is checked!
Save the scan log and post it along with a new HijackThis Log and Ewido Log in your next reply to THIS thread. Let me know if any problems persist.

P.S you can get rid of any extra programs you have downloaded after we have got you clean.

go to C:\PROGRAM FILES and delete any of these folders you find.

MyWay
NavExcel
PerfectNav

Copy the bold text below to NOTEPAD.

call it FIXME.REG

save it to your desktop.

on your desktop double click on FIXME.REG and allow it to merge with the registry when it asks.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\MAGNET]

then post a fresh HJT log.

P.S if you have uninstalled , medal of honor, the sims etc, go to C\program files and delete their folders.

deleted the things you told me to but when I double clicked on the fixreg this is what poped up:
Cannot import C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\FIXME.REG: The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files within the registry editor.

use the zone alarm firewall , the windows firewall is as much use as a chocolate tea pot :tazz:
if there is a standard or normal setting use that. i don't use zone alarm so i'm not sure of the settings.

you can remove any of the programs i got you to download if you wish now.

that looks clean now.;)

DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE run your anti virus, when you get the all clear
restart your system restore.(same page).then create a new restore point :-

click START\ALL PROGRAMS\ACCESSORIES\SYSTEM TOOLS\SYSTEM RESTORE. click on "create new restore point"
click on NEXT and follow the prompts.

this is to ensure that if you have to do a system restore in the future that you don't get all the nasties reinstalled again.

Then

Go to TOOLS\INTERNET OPTIONS. and delete all TEMP INTERNET FILES

Download CCLEANER

then run the scan under the windows tab.

then DEFRAG your C:\ drive.

to help speed up your system.

then let us know how the computer is running.
