Hi, I'm new to the board and had a question about a problem a co-worker is having with Outlook (im the it support guy for a manufacturing company)

basically, when he uses Outlook and attempts to open a new message or reply, when the program attempts to open word as the email editor, word hangs and locks up the pc. he is able to use our web client without any issues, and is able to open word on its own rather than through outlook.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If you can start Outlook ok, go into Tools - Options - Mail Format tab - uncheck the Use Microsoft Word as your email Editor and use the drop down box to select Rich Text Format.

See if that makes a difference
