Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and reply here with your log.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

I am afraid to download anything because our C drive is very small. We don't have alot of room left on it. It only has about 7GB on it and most of it is take up already. We got the computer from a friend who did not leave alot of room on the C drive.

You will need space to download a few tools. You don't need everything that was listed in that thread, but you will need a few of them. Fortunately most of them are relatively small. Hijackthis is very small, about the same size as one photo on your computer. Download it and post a hijackthis log.

Then we'll go from there. Give me an idea of how much free space you have and we'll try to work around it.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

thank you. will this update screw things up or anything? I am not very computer savy and don't want to screw anything up. Also, will this take up alot of memory? I have 1.10 GB left on my C drive. BUT I do have a D drive with 127 GB.

As long as you only install SP1a this will not screw anything up. In fact, it is a necessary step to resolving your problem. Just do not install SP2 yet. We must get you cleaned up before installing that update.

You should have plenty of space for this update and some of the tools that we will need. And I'll show some ways to get back a lot of space on your drive.
