I recently had a virus completely shut my computer down (deleted a bunch of .dll and .exe files) and had to delete (well, probably didn't HAVE to) everything on my computer and reinstall windows using the Dell cd's that came with my Dimension 3000. I have a CD titled the "Dell Dimension ResourceCD" that has device drivers on it, and I installed all of the files, including the Audio Driver: Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio file. After restarting my computer after the setup finished, my sound still did not work. I then uninstalled it, and went to the Dell website and downloaded the drivers they listed there. Still doesn't work. Tried three or four all together. Nothing is working at all. I'm so frustrated! Can anyone figure this out? The "Analog Devices" is a SoundMAX card. I've been searching forums for questions like this for about two hours now and haven't been able to find any solutions.

Thanks,
Miranda
