Hi Guys
Im new to the site but SOOOOOO excited about the idea of it, I think it's WONDERFUL! So Anywhoo...

I haven't had any bad spyware problems for quite some time simply by using a combo of Spybot and Ad-Aware, but just recently I have been getting some pretty frequent, and of course annoying as well, many with sound.
Now I am a big fan of the google toolbar so some of the things that were found look to be pretty legit to me, but osme of it I don't have quite enough knowledge to make sense of, but I absorb like a sponge and I wont go off and forget about the post.
OK, so Here is the HijackThis Log:

Is this for the same computer you posted for on another topic? If so, please do not post duplicates.

Otherwise, you have to update to at least SP1a before we can continue.

So are these two computers or just two separate user accounts? If it's the same computer, there's no need for two HijackThis logs. Either I, or jasmonkey, should work on it. Not both of us. But if it's separate computers, then we shall proceed :tazz:

Update to SP1a. Hold off on SP2 until you are all clear - otherwise it may cause problems.

Once you update to SP1a, I want you to post a new HijackThis log. We will then begin to go into the fix.

You have to get it from Microsoft (either on the website or order it from them for free). OK, let's do this then (sorry for the delay here, but we have to follow this policy):

Please go HERE (Microsoft website) using Internet Explorer (not Firefox or any other browser as they won't work)
  • Click on Windows Validation Assistant
  • Click on the Validate Now button.
  • Be patient while the ActiveX loads, do not click on any links.
  • Read the instructions on this page while it's loading. You will be prompted to install - click YES.
  • Enter your product key then click continue
  • When it says "Validation Complete" please click Continue to return to your previous activity
  • Copy what it says and paste it here.
