When I upgraded from win 98 to xp, I had to use symnet to uninstall Norton Antivirus. Now, I don't know how or cannot reinstall Norton Antivirus 2005. Also, Norton's Clean Sweep is out of commission. The icon is gone from desktop, and it looks to be in a file called Windows/undo.cab or windows/backup/undo.cab (can't remember which)

I need kindergarten level instructions.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I believe you mean "SymNRT.exe" is what you used. This should have removed everything. You may want to clean boot and rerun SymNRT.exe

You should then be able to reinstall Norton AntiVirus and/or Cleansweep (I recommend against using this particularly on XP - and I work for Symantec...) from the install CD. If you don't have the install CD (install files may be on a dell restore CD or some other media that came with your system), you'll have to get a replacement.

Good luck!
