hey

not sure if im in the right forum or not but here goes. ive got a recording kit including a microphone etc.. for some reason now when i go to record something, singing for example, when i play it back theres a distortion snowy sort of noise in the background. this software did not used to do this but it does now. any ideas why? the microphone jack was a huge one so i had to get an adaptor which would make it able to fit in the pc, but the adaptor is quite bulky so it is sticking in at an angle because it is so close to my speakers wire. could this be the problem? i dont think so though because i removed the sound wire and pushed the mic in properly and it still done the same thing. any suiggestions? could my mobile or new wireless landline phone be doing something to it??

thanks
