can i network computers between XP and 2000 right now they are both plugged into a rounter. I want to send files from the XP computer to the 2000 computer.

you would need to set up a workgroup...basically do the home network wizard (or whatever its called) on xp and set up a workgroup...it will ask you to make a network install disk...you make the disk and use it on the 2000 machine to configure it for the network
