I downloaded the program and have attemted to run the batch file. Everytime i run i t I get a message that it has encountered a problem and has to close.

The error message i get is "NTVDM.EXE has encounterd a problem and has to close". However the L2MFix tool continues to run and creates a report. Here it is Thanks.

Ok, Lets fix the L2M infection. The log verified that you do have it.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log, and we'll clean up what's left.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Reboot your computer and boot into safe mode.

To boot into safe mode turn your computer on and press f8, continiously, until a menu appears. At this menu please select safemode

Next, open Windows Explorer. The easiest way to do this is:Click Start
Select Run
Type in Explorer
While in Windows Explorer, please delete the following Files, if they are found. Please note thay you may not find the files, please let me know if you do not find them.

Please exit Windows Explorer and reboot you computer normally.

I'm sorry Justin when I was in the etb folder it appeared eveything in there was things i didn't need on my computer and I removed the whole file. Here is my current Hijackthis log. Everything appears to be working fine now.

Hello

If you havent emptied your recycling bin, please restore C:\Windows\etb, and let me know what files are in the folder. We are curious to see what else was in there, becuase something in there could have been making it come back over and over.

Yeah I thought about that but the Recycle Bin has been emptied. If I get it again I will record whats in that file for you. Thank you so much for your help. I cannot donate right now but will so in the future. I wish I knew where it came from. Do you know if any spyware is related to the game Rune Scape or Simtopulus? My son plays RuneScape and i recently downloaded some files from Simtopulus.
