When downloading programs is there a way to protect oneself from a program getting virused during dowlload. Is it safer to open the file or save and then scan it with Avast or AVG?

Howdy:

The safest?? Don't download using P2P networks, keep your downloads legal and stay away from warez sites..

Do that and you have nothing to worry about!!

Limewire, Kazaa, Gnutella, P2P Networking, etc.. I think you knew what I meant..

And a warez site is anywhere offering software downloads illegally..
