I have optained the virus trojan_spy.html.c

Order of events
I went online to look for music videos, I go to a search engine and type in music videos

I click on a link

A green webpage comes up then minimizes itself, I reliaze after a few moments something is wrong so i close the window

A C program appears on my desktop, I quickly delete it.

My desktop dissappears and the blue screen appears

I run ad aware, and it found many infections

I kill em all

Nothing happened so i restart my computer, but now the only thing that will happen is the blue screen, no programs will load, no files, no start-up menu, nothing ;)

Is there any way i can save my new laptop?? :tazz:

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

I thank you for wanting to help me, but the instructions require me to use the computer with the trojan. The comp with the trojan won't start up, or load any programs. When i turn on my computer and log on to xp, I get the blue screen, and no programs. After it loads the blue screen it stops. Would a computer repair store be able to help?

Combine your two posts here into one and put it in the Malware Forum.. One of the guru's there may be able to help you get it up and running..

BTW, have you tried booting into Safe Mode??
