ya i am looking at a laptop and they changed it from having 1 gb of ram to 512 mb and a 80 gb hd to a 100 gb hd, do u think it would be worth it to add the 512 mb of ram off the start to make it 1 gb or should i wait a bit?

Personally, I would go with the extra ram.. Unless you are heavy into graphics or video editing, you won't miss the extra 20GB's of hard-drive..
