Please help me - these problems with my PC have only emerged today yet I'm worried I've caused permanent damage.

It all started when PSGuard.com and oneclicksearches.com appeared on my desktop. I seem to have got rid of oneclick... by using the advice given in the new user guide but I've still got residual infection that Spyware Search and Destroy can identify and not delete (Simfraud, PSGuard, Callinghome.biz).

I'd be so grateful of any help you could give me. I have yellow flashing icons on my toolbar that I simply have no idea what to do with.

This is a copy of my HijackThis scan

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
