ok.....it seems that i'm getting a LOT of spyware/trojans although i use ad-aware and spybot etc.

i know it has a lot to do with the always on cable modem and me always having my puter on and connected.

so, my question is........should i turn off my computer at night and during the day while my wife and i are at work or should i continue to keep it on and just unplug the modem when not in use? or does someone out there have a better idea

i DO love the speed of my cable isp.....just to let ya know

If you have a good firewall and install Spyblaster you should be OK.

There are a couple of free firewalls out there: Sygate and Zone Alarm and if you run Spybot S& D, they have a link to the javacools site where you can install Spyblaster.

I had cable high-speed and didn't have a problem. Just stay on top of it.

I've found that WebRoot is a great program to help defend against those pesky spyware programs.
