I'm not sure if this is where I post this, but here it is...

I've got a new (it's new to me) ipaq 3600 series handheld. I was trying to connect it to my HP pavilion via the IR ports. The ipaq says it's "connecting to pavilion", but I just don't know a thing about how these handheld goodies work. I think, logically, that I should have some software on my pavilion laptop, so it will recognize the ipaq.

Can anybody give me a crash course on pocket computers? I can handle this old laptop, I've had it sooooo long that I practically know it intimately---it's the ipaq that I've never seen, and I don't know anybody who either has, or has had one to help me.

Thanks guys,
