I've got Avast, Agnitum Firewall, Ad-ware, Clean Sweep, and WinASO, and Spybot Search and Destroy, all of which have been used to check my system. I'm running Windows XP on an AMD Athlon made by Compaq HP. Windows XP boots up most of the time but occasionally it doesn't boot up and I get a screen describing why, other times I just get a blank screen with a blinking cursor at the top. When Windows XP does boot up everything works normally except suddenly at different times, while surfing the net or playing a game of solitaire, the screen goes blank and the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. It acts and looks just like the computer turns itself off, but the CPU remains on. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
