hello all, new member here

I purchased a new computer for my wife and set it up in another room.

I have cable modem connected to this computer, and I connected a
router to the ethernet port on the cable modem box. Then connected the new computer to port 1 of the router.

The new computer pings just fine and says that I am connected, but when
I try to logon to AOL, it says cannat reach DNS server. I will not allow me on
any internet webpages either.

But the router tells me everything is fine.

help me please
