Service pack 2 with yahoo messanger problems

Ever since I upgraded my Widows XP 2002 with service pack-2, yahoo messanger will not allow me to sign in. When I try to uninstall yahoo messanger 6.0 so that I can re-install it I get this message "Wise uninstall - could not open INSTALL.LOG file" Everything works well on MSN messanger but I like yahoo messanger much better. Any help out there????? I'm stumped on what to try next. :tazz:

Maybe you could just go and redownload the yahoo messenger, or just goto the latest update they have and it will put any missing files back into itself.

I did as you suggested and it worked. I couldn't see the forest for the trees in this case. Thanks a bunch.
