My desktop is locked and I don't know how to unlock it. It says "Your system is infected" and it wants me to remove all spyware before doing anything else. I've already tried running ad-aware and spybot, but I still can't change my wallpaper. Any suggestions?

Is the background black, with the text 'WARNING: Your computer may be at risk. Strange Homepage, pop ups, blah blah blah.... Click here to get the latest spyware removal'??? Do you have a red exclamation mark icon in the bottom left hand corner, which says 'Your system is infected!' when you right click? If so, I had the same problem, and it's the PSGuard Malware.

Use the link Keith posted, and download ewido, and ad-aware. Run full scans with both. After running ewido, I was able to change my desktop back. Then download Hijackthis, get a log for it and post it in the Malware section, to gain help in fully removing the problem.
