I've been trying to boot my computer in Safe Mode with both the F5 and F8 keys, but I always get a grey "INFORMATION" box that displays the following:

OUT OF SCAN RANGE
INPUT 2: HD15
35.5 KHz/87 Hz

^ Could that possibly be a problem with my monitor? Everytime I boot into Safe Mode, the entire screen is black, with the exception of the grey INFO box.

I am so lost... :tazz: please?

Yes, it's the monitor. Your computer is probably reverting to vga mode and the montor can't handle it. Just borrow an older monitor from someone and you'll probably be OK.
