Hi there this is my first post. I Have a Sony VAIO NV190P. It does not start up. Only the power light turns on. Theres no power to anything else(DVD/CD-RW). I dont think its a RAM problem. Anyone might know whats wrong?

try taking the battery out and leaving the power cable in. if this works then you know it is a battery fault. sorry thats all i know

I did that too. Still doesnt work.

It may just need a full charge if it hasnt been turned on or hasnt been turned on for a long time they will often need a full charge up and by full it is twice the normal charge time about a day that seems to work sometimes.

What are the circumstances is it new, old just upgraded?

its a p4 1.7ghz about 1-2years old warranty is gone though
