Hi guys. I'm new to this and I recently stumbled upon this site in hopes to getting some help as to how to get rid of the trojan VeryLince as well as adware on my computer. I run McAfee virus scanner as well as AOL spyware protection and these two problems keep popping up...among a few others here and there.

Hello Lala00 and welcome to Geeks To Go :tazz:

You have multiple things going on here we have to take care of this being the first thing.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

I will give you a small piece of advice, until that is done.

Go into add/remove programs and remove anything by new net

Then we will have to take care of those updates before we go any further. ;)
