Well, I don't know much about ocing Amd, but I would assume it's similar to intel. Do you have the options in your Bios to up your FSB? That's the first thing you need to check. If so, basically you need to up your FSB to overclock the processor. What is the max Bus speed of your board? The main thing that usually holds most people back is the speed of the ram. I have PC2700 also and that is what limits me. What I did was in my bios I slowed down the memory mhz. Next I upped the FSB speed as far as I could (small increments at a time though) until I got the memory speed maxed out to rated speed (333mhz= 166x2) This effectively overclocked my processor without actually overclocking my memory, it is just running at full rated speed. The results are a 2.67ghz celeron @ 3.3ghz. If I were to purchase some PC 3200 ram (theoretically) I could up the FSB until my mem is at 400mhz and get that much more overclock to my processor (when you up the fsb it sends more juice to the entire board eg: memory, pci slots, agp etc.. so be very careful) You'll have to be more careful if you have a separate video card since you will be juicing that too. I would suggest slowing down your video card before upping the fsb so you don't end up with smoke coming out of your case. The next step is to figure out correct ram latencies. I'm at 2.5-3-3-7 the goal to reach is 2-2-2-5, but most memory cannot achieve that. The faster you run the mem the harder it is to drop those numbers. My samsung pc2700 will run stable @ 1.66mhz x2 with latencies 2.5-3-3-7. Anything under 166 (165 or lower) I can run 2-3-3-6 stably. These numbers will vary depending on the quality of your memory. Keep in mind you might want to have one of your fans faced toward the ram.
