I am running a Pentium 4, 1.8 with 1024 megs of ram. My comptuer is running slow. I have Xp with all updates that I know of. I also have high-speed cable modem. When I open a browser, it seems to take forever for the pages to load. Below is what I got from Highjackthis. Do I need all of these things running, and I thank you in advance for your help:

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
