To cut a long story short, after cleaning up mess from upgrade of Fx 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 I am no left with no Fx at all ;) After removing all vestiges of Fx 1.0.4 download, Ive attempted to do fresh download of Fx 1.0.6. Installation stops with message that there has been an uncompressing error at C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\7ZS77.tmp\xpcom.xpi:3 . After searching through forums and Mozillazine, I came across a fix @ [URL=forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=294709] which stated to clear temp/cache and then proceed to do fresh install. I've done all I can think to clear cache, directory, and temp folders, yet keep receiving same error message. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just downloading the Deer Park beta instead. Using IE just bites! :tazz: . Thankyou.

I dont know of a fix, but Deer Park rocks. I have been using it (1 and now 2) for over a month now with absolutely no problems. :tazz:

Sadly, the Deer Park download is displaying the same error :tazz: However, through more research I've found that profiles are stored in Application Data, so I'll try to delete that next.
