When I boot my computer and open IE it goes to home page and opens a second time to the website http://www.mynbx247....pbb/index3.html I saw a similar posting and as posted disabled ms antispyware, ran cwshredder, then hijackthis log, but none of the entries listed to fix on the resolution existed in my log file. Can you look over the log file below and let me know the fix?

Thanks for any help.

Yes still need help. As I mentioned, I followed prior instructions down to point where recommendations were made on what to delete/fix. None of the referenced entries were in my log file, so it must be buried somewhere else. So what entries do I delete?

Why can't MS antispyware find and fix this? Their SW fixed everything else but doesn't even list this problem.

Hi bilchakj. Good job. :tazz:

You have a trojan. But we'll get rid of it. :)

Step 1.

Download CleanUp!

Please download CleanUp! - Download - HomePage

Don't run it yet.

Step 2:

These programs need to be uninstalled

AdWatch

These programs can just be disabled

Microsoft Antispyware
TeaTimer
SpySweeper
Win Patrol
Spyware Guard
PSGuard
Pestpatrol
Regrun
Diamonds Process controller

Step 3.

RIGHT-CLICK HERE and Save As (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download DelDomains.inf to your desktop.
To use: RIGHT-CLICK DelDomains.inf and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.

There are quite a few programs available that offer protection features to help keep a computer from getting infected. While this is normally a helpful feature, it can keep a victim from making the changes necessary to clean their comptuer. Please read the following and uninstall or disable those that apply to your machine.

Step 4.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click
fix checked.

I did not find adwatch on add/remove programs. I found dialer.exe on c:\ and also on c:\program files\windows nt\dialer.exe, but I assume this second one is an authentic applications. No sign of ipda.exe

For the final step, the virusscan you recommended, your instruction said to click on a button labeled Clean Up. They must have changed their site as I did not find said button. However, I made my way to the scan and it disinfected two virus' even though I have a virus protection installed! It also found a bunch of spyware incidents, mostly ad-ware but did not remove them. FYI, here is the log file. Let me know if I should start another thread about what to do about these.

Please download CleanUp! - Download - HomePage
Install and run. Click on the button labeled CleanUp!.

When it finishes it will prompt you to restart Windows - there will be one or two files it cannot delete when Windows is running - however, they will be deleted next time Windows starts up.

Run Panda again and post that log.

Boot into safe mode (lightly tap f8) and make sure all files are showing.

Using explorer, not search, and find these files and delete them.

C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLOADED PROGRAM FILES\AdStatServX.dll
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\JIM\FAVORITES\SITES ABOUT\Ab scissor.url
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DealHelper
C:\Documents and Settings\Sharie\Start Menu\Programs\TopText iLookup<<entire folder

Here is the panda scan.

Adware:adware/wupd No disinfected C:\PROGRAM FILES\Windows AdStatus
Adware:adware/wintools No disinfected Windows Registry
Dialer:Dialer.OR No disinfected C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-3967153890-3294098742-748247297-1007\Dc7.dlr

Please click this link to download Silent Runners.
* Save it to the desktop.
* Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
* You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
* Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.
