:tazz: I just reformatted the HD on my HP (athlon-2.2GHz) machine, installed XP(SP-2) and the ethrnet adapter is missing (the 1394 is there). Is the BIOS the problem? Should I install a PCI ethernet adapter?

Thanks. I found my computer listed on the HP site, down loaded the drivers, installed the ethernet driver, and it works now.
