I have a laptop which had viruses and spyware which I have since rempoved but now I cant get into the registry or msconfig.
It says cant find path or file or you may not have the appropriate permissions.
I also cant get onto aol it just hangs and then says the above error about aolacsd.exe ??

Guessing something is corrupt any ideas.

Thanks

it has xp home

Put XP installation disk into drive and click "Start", "Run", and type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. This fixes system files. Reboot and try again. It won't fix the aol problem. You'll probably have to reinstall your aol software to fix that.
