open the sfp folder and double click sfp.exe.
In the big box for step one paste the following filenames
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mdotwp.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mdotwpa.dll
Once you have pasted both of those in click on the continue button.
On your desktop will be a cab file called requested files with a number after it.

1. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
2. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
3. Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
4. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password. If you don't have a password jsut press enter.
6. When in recovery console type the following del C:\WINDOWS\System32\mdotwp.dll and tell me if it does say anything.
7. Reboot your PC back into normal Windows and post a new Hijackthis log here in a reply.

ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
When i booted from the CD and pressed R at setup it said couldn't detect any hard drives!!!!!! and so it wouldn't let me do anything but quit (by pressing F3) I remember i had this problem once when i formatted my computer and when i went to reintstall windows it never detected hard drives, if i can remember clearly it was something to do with SATA drivers coz i have a SATA hard drive. apparently the windows disk doesn't come with SATA drivers. but yeah dunno if that info is relevant or not. so yeah, wat now?
