Admins, I realise that this is a major link to my site, but please understand that advertising is not what I am after.

In fact it would be great if G2G got in on the act and setup their own donation fund for Niger.

I have no problem if you want to link to a third party charitable organization. However, you're proposing a link to donate to your site? Why not link directly to the organizaton: http://www.dec.org.u...,901/index.html

By all means do so, but what I was hoping for is to donate one lump sum, from a central point, with thanks from all sites involved.

I have put the same post on several tech forums, in an attempt to get us all to pool together for a large donation.

I understand concern's though, I personally wouldnt trust some random guy on a forum, but I would like to assure you all that I take something like this appeal very seriously. If you would prefer then please make your donations through the Disasters Emergency Commission. However I think it would be nice to have a lot of geek communities come together to make a large donation to the fund.
