ok to switch over to automatic follow these steps:

Go to Start Menu->Connect To->Show Network Connections

select 'Properties' from the 'Local Area Network' context menu (right mouse click)

Under 'Configuration' select the TCP/IP protocol for the ethernet system, and click properties

Under 'IP Address' select 'Obtain an IP address automatically'

select 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'

Click 'OK

after doing that renew and release your ip address and see if you can get the router access page to work if not let me know

start

control panel

network connections

right click on the local area connection you are using

select properties

under general tab select the internet protocol(tcp/ip) then select the properties button

Under 'IP Address' select 'Obtain an IP address automatically'

select 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'

Click 'OK

I am about to leave the house now, few chores to do.

Thaks for that. One other thing, could you possbily tell me how I ''renew and release your ip address and see if you can get the router access page to work if not let me know ''?
