Mouse not working

My mouse is plugged in, I see the laser, but the cursor wont move. I've restarted many times and tried 3 different mouses, none work. Please help! :tazz:

What kinds of mice have you tried? Obviously, USB or wireless, but did you try PS2?

I'm using the kind that plugs into the back. I'm not sure what thats called :tazz:

Under your Device Manager, uninstall/Reinstall your mouse a/o check/update your mouse driver(s)...

When I got the mouse, I didn't have to install anything

There are very few mouses that are laser that plug in to the PS/2 port. When you plug in the mouse, do you see that the driver gets installed right? Also, is this a desktop or a laptop?

its a desktop, and i have to admit, this mouse is about 2 years old... It plugs into the teal port in the back (w/e that one is). And it's made by Labtec. I've also tried my wireless mouse.

ok you have a ps2 mouse...it's not a laser it's a red light......have you tried a usb mouse in the system? one that plugs into a usb port (the little rectangular plug)
