Cant uninstall XP

I would like to do a clean install of XP only when I try to use the cd that came with my computer it tells me it cant unistall because the version installed (by them) is newer then the one on the CD. I just want to start fresh!

Go to add / remove, tick show updates, remove SP2, keep confirming removal when it says programmes may not run, when it is off the PC, reboot and use the CD you have

If you are going to do a clean install then removing SP2 and using your XP SP1 CD to format the drive and install will be quicker
