K this started the other day and I have no clue why. I have winamp open listening to some music and went to play COD Multiplayer. As soon as it loaded up, my sound went off! I checked the volume and everything. It is not my speakers because I plugged in my headphones and still didn't hear anything. When I turn my speakers on full blast, I can hear a little bit of sound. What is wrong? :tazz:

thamasta, try checking if all your speaker plugs are completely plugged in, this includes in back of your speakers, and in back of your PC.

Umm . . . If you want to make sure it's the right one, try this site [http://www.msi.com.t...=1&CHIP=1&COM=4]nvidia MCP2url=http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_list.php?part=1&kind=1&CHIP=1&COM=4]http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driv...=1&CHIP=1&COM=4

Look under the name of your motherboard/PC, and download the driver of that. Example of a name, "hp pavilion a247b."

Oh, sorry about that. This is the site NVIDIA MCP2
There are a lot of selections, but don't download any if you can't find your motherboard model/name on it.
What is your motherboard/PC model?
You should try google searching your soundcard's name.

Is the little sound you hear actual sound or static?

If its static then....
Well if its not i can try to help you with my following instructions.

1. Start > Run > dxdiag

2. Click on sound tab.

3. Test the sound and see if that helps.

:tazz: I don't know much so don't flame me for my stupidity ;)

Maybe lowering acceleration might help? Reinstalling the drivers?

K here is where I'm at. I updated my audio drivers and still didn't get any sound. No matter where the volume was set it was still only a little sound, I put the volume bar a little over 0% and I have sound. I only have that set amount and it can't change. When it gives me the percent the volume is at, it says it is at 0%.
