Multisession/volume CD problem

I just got a new cd-rw drive, but when i put in a cd with multiple volumes i was unable to access older volumes like i was with my previous cd-rw drive. I right click the icon and select properties but a volume tab doesn't appear anymore. At first i would get a message about having the wrong driver for multiple mounting or something but that message doesn't appear anymore. So i wanted to know if there was a driver i could get.
