:tazz: I am really starting to regret upgrading my OS to Windows XP. It seems to have caused all kinds of problems. One of the most important problem is that Norton Anitviurs 2005 which I just purchased (downloaded) has completely stopped working. So every time I try to open a document, it automatically requests a virus scan, then sits there forever before it tells me that my Norton subscription has expired (which of course is not true)!

I've been to Norton's website and tried all kinds of different procedures to "fix" the problem. I thought I finally got it uninstalled, but I'm not 100% sure. I then tried to install it again, but it gave me an error message.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open Task Manger (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
Click on Processes tab.

darth ash,

Thanks for the reply! I took a look at the task manager, but the process named ctfmon.exe is not running.
