I just used cleanup on a computer to get rid of things and now my start button looks old stylish..is htere nayways to change it back to regular green style. Example of how itl ooks rite now :{ plz help.

Right click the desktop then appearance to check you have XP and the colour scheme you want

I used cleanup and it erased my window xp style for xp and buttons ...any thing i can do about that? Now it only shows i have classic :/ also.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD and get a blue progress bar which just goes when done

Umm..what can you do if you dont have window xp professional service pack 2 cd?

Ok here, do this as listed:
Start >> Control Panel >> Perfomance and Maitenance >> Administrative Tools >> Services >> Themes
Make sure startup type is automatic and make sure it is started.

Compaq (AMD Athlon XP 3000). Need a windows xp professional service pack 2 cd.

Compaq should have given you the CD. If you just lost it, you can call them and for a small fee you can buy a new one.

Ok..i seemed to have gotten a cd now..but first thing I did was that I tried doing the run: sfc/scannow and all it did was wasted me 1 gig because nothing semmed to have been fixed. But anyhow, can you repeat the steps about what I should do to get my xp theme back. And I hope it is accurate because for osme odd reason it already took away 2 gigs from me :/
