Meh, I just found this site while googling for a solution.

Anyway, for the past week or so WinFixer and other pop-ups have been...popping up. I've done scans with Norton Systemworks 2004 (I never updated to 2005), Ad-Aware SE, Spybot 1.4, and XoftSpy. It always come back.

I'll post my HijackThis log once I restart my comp and do the scan. While I do that, here's my Ewido scan log. BrB.

By the way, "C:\Program Files\arrh\utrc.exe" is a regenerating file that I do not recognize. It shows up everytime I start up/restart my computer.

=====================================
Another EDIT: I think I got rid of WinFixer. It hasn't shown up for the past two days anyway. But "C:\Program Files\arrh\utrc.exe" still keeps showing up every now and then.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Click here: http://www.microsoft...&DisplayLang=en
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
