can anyone help here?

I've recently had to reformat the harddrive and all, so now I've re-installed XP pro English, but when i want to turn off the comp, the only options I get are "turn off" and "restart". the "stand by" button is always grey and thus can't be clicked. I haven't installed the drivers yet cause I forgot the cd at home, but I somehow don't think that has anything to do with the drivers. can anyone tell me if there's something I can do about this?

thanks :tazz:

Standy\Hibernate Button usually become inactive, when u install a driver (or windows automatically installed it). and the driver installtion needs u to reboot, hence it disables the standby button till ur next reboot.
I would suggest u install all ur drivers, and keep rebooting till u dont get any "Windows has found new device" messages.
