Windows 98 on a thumb drive

Your best option would be Virtual PC with the old OS's installed. If your PC is able to boot from USB you may be able to boot Windows 98 from a USB memory stick, and DOS from bootable floppies.

How would you do this? How do a load Windows 98 on a thumb drive then boot to it. Confusing to me. How would you do it?
