I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop that recently returned from Dell after having the motherboard replaced. When I got it back I put the HD and battery back in, plugged it in and got ready to fly. Well everything was loading alright until part way through the Windows XP loading screen where the scrolling bar stopped and it goes nowhere from there. I rebooted into safe mode and it worked, then I tried to reboot it into safe mode w/ networking and it froze again. When it displays the files it's loading at start up in safe mode it hits agp440.sys (I think or something very close to that) and then windows starts, in safe mode w/ networking it hits agp440.sys and then stops. I'm guessing it's something with the networking files, but it never did this before I sent the laptop in to be repaired. Any suggestions short of an attempt at a full windows reinstallation? Maybe some file repairing? But I'm not sure what files I'd need to repair. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
