I recently wanted to use Webshots to upload some pictures. It had been a while since I used it, and I got a message saying that I needed to install the update to avoid photo album problems. So I installed the most current version. When I went to upload pictures using the Online Photo Manager, I kept getting an error message saying that the server could not be found (or something like that). So I tried the website uploader (one at a time), and although I got no error message, I could not get photos to upload. I tried another software program (Photodex) to upload a slideshow, and i got a "communication problem with server" (or something like that). I also tried to upload photos to my Yahoo briefcase and photo albums. I can't seem to upload anything using any software. Has anyone had a similar problem? Since my most recent activity has been to install the Webshots update, I am assuming that maybe that had something to do with it? or maybe I did get some virus that I don't know? I have run Adaware SE and tend to quarantine everything that it finds. Did I quarantine something I shouldn't have?

ok, follow the instructions here

I only say 2 things that may be related to viri/adaware but could easily be related to another program. I see that you have messenger plus installed. This application is known to be bundled with spyware. I recomend that you uninstall it.
once you run adaware and spybot you should be in good shape. howver follow the instructions on the link above and they can verify it for us.

I suspect that zone alarm is the issue. Is this a work laptop for you? The integrity database could be out of date or corrupted and require a reinstall. It is also possible that they have chosen to block that feature.
